Best update in some time.

Preliminary test results came in at the end of the day. The results look "clean"....which means no more rejection!

Amen.

Final results will be in tomorrow by the end of day, but the preliminary results are enough to get excited about!

More good news. Oakes came off of the last heart medication today. A huge milestone since he has been on that since month 2 or so.

Additionally, he is weighting in at 6.7kilograms which is 14.7 lbs, he is up about 4 lbs since transplant. Some of that is water weight, but still he is growing. Actually, I just noticed the other day that he is easily filling out a size 2 diaper. Atta boy, Oakesie!

Going to bed saying only prayers of thanks!
Thank you all for your love and support. No doubt that the power of prayer has helped our little miracle in diapers!
XO, Becky

  1. Hi becky,
I can't tell you how happy I am right now. Since I "met" the ortyls, I have fallen in love with Oakes and watched in awe as you so beautifully and courageously fought with him. There were so many times that I read your updates and just cried for you all. Tonight, the same thing happened but it is just complete happiness. I can't wait to see what happens next. Oakes is indeed a miracle. ( he can also rock a pair of leg warmers like nobody else)
Thank you for letting me be a part of your world. Sleep tight !

  5. It has been such a privilege to be updated on Oakes and to pray for him. Thank you for letting your family become a part of ours through thoughts and prayers. Oakes is one tough tough cookie! When I tell our 3 yr old that Oakes is getting better, she says, " yeah, but we still need to say prayers!". Continued prayers for healing on the days ahead! What great news!
