Dancing and moving to the music... and watching others dance. (Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the Bus, Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, the radio, the TV....)
Little Gym
Baby Einstein...the songs and puppets specifically
Playing with her toys, pulling them all out of the box
Being read to... she definitely has favorite books and she loves turning the pages
Bubbles
Balloons
Her momma's jewelry, cell phone, wallet, purse and everything in them
The suspended bronze geese at the mall
She still adores Ashby!
What she is saying:
"HEH" for head
"Ha-br" for Harper
"Ba" for ball and balloon
"Buh" for book
"AaaAH" for Ashby
"Muh" for more
"Uh-oh" when things fall on the floor
What she is doing:
Moves her hands to any song you sing, but especially nurseryrhymes that we move our hands to
She has a kind of crab-like crawl, scooting but putting limited weight on her upper body
She can stand all day
Loves to walk if we help her
She has mastered the sippy cup
Frustrates us when she throws food from the table
She will identify her nose and our noses
She gives a mean high five
She has blown a few kisses
She loves flipping light switches
Every night she turns the water on and off in the bathroom
She blows on most of her food and will point to her bird mobile and blow in its direction
Other stuff:
She got her first haircut!
She moved up at Little Gym from the "Bugs" class to the "Birds" (she seems really interested in the bigger kids that are moving around)
She has great fine motor skills. She can carelessly pick up the smallest crumb, moves her first and second finger back and forth when we sing Itsy Bitsy Spider, and can easily push the smallest buttons on electronics
She is taking less and less formula and eating more and more food
I need to post an 11 month update very, but I wanted to share...
Today Isla stood on her own for about 30 seconds. She was standing in front of a full length mirrow just grinning from ear to ear and she swayed around. I could just see the wheels turning, she was so proud, it was the cutest thing.
Thanks Aunt Sally for the adorable romper!! We LOVE it...it is so very "IPO"!! The blue in the flowers is beautiful with her eyes, and the pale pink makes her cheers look super rosy. XOXO
I had a window open the other day and Isla was enjoying the breeze while sitting at her walker, having fun lining up her toys. She does this with her food sometimes too.
