I know I owe details from the Cath lab, but I just don't have it in me tonight. I am pooped and my pillow is calling. I can assure you that Oakes is doing well. He is still paralysed and sedated, his paralytic will be lifted tomorrow and we are hopeful that he wakes up feeling comfortable and able to breath easier. Today his vent was weaned a bit, his numbers looked good, and the best part of the day was almost a two hour stretch where I got to hold him! I am proud that he did so well in the Cath lab, thrilled that he is a heavy baby now, and hopeful beyond words that we are getting our guy back on track.
Love to you all! XOXO Becky
Oh Becky, I cried with happiness for you after looking over the pictures of you holding him. Get some rest and hopefully you can get some more snuggles tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Way awesome! Hoping tomorrow is another step in the right direction. Oakes needs a deli-type number dispenser with him tomorrow as everyone else will have to take a number and get in line to hold him! I can just envision the "now serving" sign with the digital number 1 above him throughout the whole day! Continued thoughts and prayers for all.
ReplyDeleteHoping for more good news again tomorrow. could not be more thrilled for you to be able to hold him, and I cannot believe it has almost been 2 months since transplant! What a beautiful, precious time for you all, and I love, love LOVE the gorgeous pictures from today.
ReplyDeleteHeart string tugs to the whole family!
Love,
Kim
Loved the pics of you and Greg with your mighty fighter.

Love the way your eyes look... Gorgeous pics. Yay for you!
ReplyDeleteThis is crazy, but I went to sleep last night. I said my prayers, gave Oakes a SHOUT OUT!! I had a dream that for some reason Janie had her "Annual Cookie Exchange" and invited me and all of my siblings and their kids. And Shani and Greg were there with their family. Guess who else was there... OAKES!!!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure why I had this dream, since I am NEVER invited to the cookie exchanges, but I liked having it. I woke up this morning thinking about Oakes and your family. I am glad he is headed in the right direction..
