This was taken about 2 weeks ago.
Test results have come back that this in fact rejection. Another round of pheresis has started, and an anti-rejection steroid has been given. Oakes is on the new Oscillating breathing machine and so far it has not made a big difference. His last blood gas was in the 90s and it should be in the 30-40 range. I know you will all believe me....he is still as cute as ever.
Oakes is a beautiful, happy boy full of so much love. Harrison, my 4 year old, was watching the video over my shoulder and just said, "mommy, he looks so nice and sweet". I hope you can feel the love and prayers coming to you hourly from Los Angeles for everyone. xoxo, Emily

ReplyDeleteOakes has more family members than he knows. You have done a beautiful job capturing his story and have created an extended family that cares and loves Oakes without ever meeting him. There isn't an hour that goes by, when we aren't thinking about Oakes. We are praying so hard! My dad has the "pink sisters" praying for him, too! He is going to pull through.
